The invention concerns a scanner type digital photographic back, which, moreover enables to view an image, focus it inside the back itself on a ground medium, digitise it without having to remove said back, at any time, from the rear member (T2) of the photographic chamber with bellows, whereon it is fixed by (10) and (FIX). The device consists, in its preferred embodiment, the following elements: a camera body (1) comprising an aperture (2) and an aperture (3) opposite each other enabling to view the image (IM) of a subject (SU) through the lens (OB), directly through the camera body, on a retractable ground glass screen (4). The digitisation of the image by scanning is performed by means of electronic CCD-type photosensitive sensors (5) in three-linear array. The camera body (1) is here connected to a computer by a connection system (21) and an electric cable (14). Viewing, framing, focusing and digitising of the image are carried out within the same and single one-unit device, while preserving the possibility of resorting to chemical film development at any time.
