PURPOSE: An apparatus for performing data communication using wireless phone used at home is provided to wirelessly access a modem by using a wireless phone so as to freely install or move a computer to a desired location. CONSTITUTION: A call key of a portable device is pushed. The portable device is switched into hook-off and a dialing is performed through a modem or keys. A dual tone multi frequency(DTMF) signal in the modem is transferred to a transmitter through a speaker. A call is processed. A response signal of a called party is transferred to the modem through a receiver or a micro phone. Data is switched through accessed channels. Whether a communication is completed is checked. Data from the modem is transferred to the called party through a first route. The first route comprises the modem, a modulator/demodulater and a radio frequency circuit, a wireless phone body and a public network. A signal received from the called party is transferred to the computer through a second route. The second route is composed of the modem, an acoustic coupler, a portable device and the wireless phone body. The portable device and the wireless phone body are connected to each other by a radio frequency signal. The portable device and the hybrid are coupled to each other by sounds.
