METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING PATHS BETWEEN SIGNAL MESSAGE PROCESSORS AND SIGNAL TERMINALS IN CODE DIVISION MULTIPLE ACCESS EXCHANGE

PURPOSE: A method for diagnosing between signal message processors and signal terminals in a code division multiple access(CDMA) exchange is provided to retrieve a test table updated according to responses of the signal terminals by examining states of the signal terminals and the signal processors, to complete a diagnosis if every path is normal and to control the states if the paths are not normal, so as automatically to diagnose the paths in an exchange by operator commands, determined periods, or events. CONSTITUTION: If a diagnosis begins, states of all mounted signal processing processors and signal terminals are checked. A signal terminal number and EVEN-signal processor and ODD-signal processor numbers of a group in which the signal terminals are included are recorded in a test table. A test timer is driven. A EVEN_signal processor transmits a test message to all the signal terminals, and confirms a response transmitted from each terminal. A terminal signal having the response is normally updated. A terminal signal having no response is abnormally undated. The test timer is re-drived. An ODD_signal processor transmits the test message to all the signal terminals, and confirms a response transmitted from each signal terminal. The EVEN/ODD_signal processor counts abnormal numbers. If the abnormal numbers is '0', the diagnosis is finished.
