<p>PURPOSE: A wastewater treatment system for removing nitrogen and phosphorous and operating method thereof is provided, which is characterized in that the apparatus has a pre-denitrification tank and a denitrification-phosphate removal tank compared with conventional biological wastewater disposal apparatus. Thereby, when loading of nitrogen/phosphate is varied widely, stable disposal is possible by buffer action of the pre-denitrification tank and the denitrification-phosphate removal tank. CONSTITUTION: The pre-denitrification tank(301) is installed in front of an anaerobic tank(302) in which phosphate is released. Nitrate nitrogen, which disturbs phosphate release, is removed in the pre-denitrification tank(301). The denitrification-phosphate removal tank(303) is installed between the anaerobic tank(302) and an anoxic tank(304). The denitrification-phosphate removal tank(303) reduces necessary oxygen, sludge generation quantity, and organic material being needed for denitrification. Influent wastewater is distributed to the pre-denitrification tank(301), the anaerobic tank(302), and the anoxic tank(304) respectively. Therefore, denitrification is maximized in the anoxic tank(304), and also nitrification efficiency is high in an aerobic tank(305).</p> |
