LCD APPARATUS AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display and a method for manufacturing the same are to remove a capacitor coupling phenomenon produced between two conductors by interposing an insulating layer between two conductors. CONSTITUTION: An empty region(33) filled with an air and an insulating layer consisting of an insulating film(34) are interposed between the first conductor(31) and the second conductor(32). The empty region and the insulating layer are formed over the entire surface of a substrate containing a data line, and are arranged in same direction as the data line. A pixel electrode is formed on the insulating layer. The empty region and the insulating layer are used as a dielectric film between the data line and the pixel electrode. The empty region is formed by injecting an etchant for removing a metal line formed onto a selectively removed passivation film portion.
