PURPOSE: An apparatus for driving a moving part of a switch is provided to improve the reliability of the switch by preventing the slip phenomenon of a motor from directly transferring to a moving part of a main circuit section. CONSTITUTION: A driving apparatus for a moving part of a switch comprises a motor installed in a body. A reduction device is connected to the motor. The rotation of the driving shaft is controlled through a gear connected to the reduction device. The rotation of a moving part of a contact is controlled through a power transmitting device connected to the driving shaft. A wheel(32) having a fixing pin(39) is mounted on the driving shaft(16). A gear having two teeth(41,42) is rotatably installed on the body in such a manner that the gear is rotated when the wheel(32) rotates. Two fixing pins(49) are installed at one side of the gear. A moving part(24) is connected to the fixing pins(49) through connecting rods(50,51).
