PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the end of memory clear by using an existing circuit without increasing the quantity of hardware. SOLUTION: The end of memory clear is detected by using a compared result of a comparator 121 for detecting that access addresses to a memory which are used for a normal instruction exceeds memory capacity. When the comparator 121 detects the overflow of the memory capacity during the period of memory clear, a gate circuit 131 informs a diagnosis control part of the end of memory clear by an output from a register 106 which indicates the execution of memory clear. Since a gate circuit 130 suppresses a capacity overflow exception detection report, the diagnosis control part can recognize that the report is not an exception detection report but is a memory clear end report.
