PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a pseudo-ghost by varying a sample integral time of a ghost reduction function in accordance with a RF.AGC level of a selection channel at the time of channel switching. SOLUTION: A video signal is inputted to a ghost reduction system(GRS) 5 through a video detection circuit 2 from an RF tuner 1. The video signal inputted to the GRS 5 is quantized by an AD converter 3, the quantizesd signal is inputted to a ghost reduction filter(GR filter) part 4 and a coefficient operation for ghost reduction is performed. A voltage of a RFAGC connected to the RF tuner 1 from the video detection circuit 2 is detected by an RF.AGF detection circuit 7, and generation of ringing components such as a pseudo-ghost is suppressed by performing control of a sample integral time of the GR filter part 4 in a sample integral time control circuit 6 by a signal from the RF tuner 1 at the time of RF channel switching.
