<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a starter generator which can function as a starter motor while realizing a voltage output as a generator, can utilize coils and a motor driver efficiently, can realize generation outputs for two systems and can stabilize a low output voltage. SOLUTION: A starter generator for a small size universal engine comprises an armature coil 1, a motor driver 2 which controls current application to the armature coil 1, a power supply 3 connected to the motor driver 2, a rectifier/voltage regulator 4 which rectifies/regulates a generated voltage, a rotor position detection sensor 5, etc. Each phase coil of the armature coil 1 comprises a low voltage coil 1a and a high voltage coil 1b which have winding specifications different from each other and are connected in series to each other. The low voltage coil 1a is connected on a neutral side. When the engine is started, the generator is driven as a starter motor by using the low voltage coils 1a. After the engine is started, the generator is operated as a generator by using both low voltage coils 1a and high voltage coils 1b.</p> |
