<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head capable of fully satisfying the need for enlargement and lighter weight while enhancing strength; being manufacturable at low cost through precision forging; and maintaining an excellent appearance. SOLUTION: At least a portion f3 of this golf club head C is constructed of martensite precipitation hardened stainless steel comprising 0.03 to 0.05 wt.% C, 0.3 to 0.5 wt.% Si, 0.3 to 1.0 wt.% Mn, not more than 0.04 wt.% P, not more than 0.03 wt.% S, 7.5 to 9.5 wt.% Ni, 11.0 to 12.5 wt.% Cr, 1.5 to 2.5 wt.% Cu, not more than 0.5 wt.% Mo, 0.9 to 1.4 wt.% Ti, not more than 0.1 wt.% Al, and iron and inevitable impurities as the balance.</p> |
