A head attachment 1 for personal use comprises a support means 2 adapted to span a user's head, an electrical power source 5 attached to the support means 2 and electrically connectable to an electrical device 6 also attached to the support means 2 and switching means 7 to connect or disconnect electrically the power source 5 to the electrical device 6. The support means may be in the form of spectacles, an elasticated head band or a safety helmet while the electrical device may be in the form of a lamp if illumination is required or in the form of an amplifier if a hearing aid is required.
