PRODUCTION OF DOUBLE CIRCULAR KNITTED FABRIC

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a double circular knitted fabric having soft touch with no problems in color fastness to dyeing and excellent in tension and stiffness. SOLUTION: In a double circular knitting machine the knitting is carried out by feeding a multifilament yarn comprising a polytrimethylene terephthalate having <10% shrinkage percentage in hot water to a feeding line which knits by solely using a cylinder needle or a dial needle and a polyester multifilament yarn having >=15% shrinkage percentage in hot water to at least a part of feeding lines which knit or tuck both needles of the cylinder needle and the dial needle and bringing the interknitting percentage of the highly shrinkable polyester multifilament to 20-60%.
