PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a toner image transferred onto an intermediate transfer belt from being reversely transferred to the photoreceptor drum of a next image forming part and intruded into a developing device. SOLUTION: In this image forming device of a cleanerless type constituted by arranging plural image forming parts in the moving direction (direction shown by an arrow R6) of the intermediate transfer belt 6, W1<W2 is made to hold when the contact part of the photoreceptor drum 1 of each image forming part with the belt 6 is set as a surface side contact part S1, the contact part of the belt 6 with a voltage applying member 7 is set as a back surface side contact part, surface contact width is defined as W1 and the back surface contact width is defined as W2. The discharge of electricity occurs in a cavity on the upstream side of the contact part S1, a potential difference between the drum 1 and the belt 6 gets smaller, and the discharge of electricity at the contact part S1 and in a cavity on the downstream side of the contact part S1 is restrained, so that the reverse transfer is prevented. |
