<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a positive charge type carrier for magnetic brush development for developing an electrostatic charge image excellent in surface contamination resistance, having good environmental dependency of electrostatic charge, a high electrostatic charge build-up speed and excellent charge exchangeability, less liable to contamination by a toner or an additive even in long-time use, less liable to lower electrostatic charge, preventing the occurrence of voids in an image due to the peeling of the majority of a coating agent and suitable for a full-color developer in which the consumption of a toner is large and toner-carrier contact frequency is high. SOLUTION: A middle layer having triboelectric charge controlling function formed from an aminosilane coupling agent having 75-150 ppm concentration of nitrogen atoms based on the weight of a carrier core is disposed on a core material and a releasing coating layer which causes a bonding reaction with the middle layer is disposed on the middle layer to obtain the objective positive charge type carrier. The coating layer contains a resin modified silicone resin.</p> |
