PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a highly reliable magnetic disk device in which a magnetic circuit is fixed by an elastic material, by providing a magnetic circuit supporting method capable of preventing the loss of impact resisting performance. SOLUTION: In a magnetic circuit supporting portion 12, an inner hub 14 is displaced integrally with a magnetic circuit 9. On the other hand, an outer hub 15 is fixed to a base 10 or a cover 11. At this time, a spacing between a yoke 7 and the outer hub 5 is set smaller than that between a magnet surface and its opposing coil surface. Thus, even when impacts are applied during the carrying of the device, the resonance peak of a carriage supporting system or a spindle supporting system is reduced and high positioning accuracy is secured without losing the performance of the coil or the magnetic circuit.
