PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system with an air purifying function having sufficient air purifying capacity. SOLUTION: A photocatalyst carrier 4 formed of a honeycomb structure body is arranged in a position for irradiating a part of illuminating light from a fluorescent lamp 2. Photocatalyst is carried by the photocatalyst carrier 4, and air is fed by a fan 5 to the photocatalyst carried by the photocatalyst carrier 4. With this structure, the photocatalyst is activated by illuminating light from the fluorescent lamp 2 and purifying action is provided. Furthermore, air containing substances to be purified is effectively fed to the photocatalyst by the fan 5. |
