PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily arrange a binding string through a given route by a simple operation without requiring long experience, prevent bailing failure caused by detaching the string from a fitting part and loosening the string during a compressing operation in advance, and improve reliability and speed in the operation even if the operator is immature. SOLUTION: This bailing device is provided with an easy-to-operate rear side string guide means 53 for holding a packaging string 12 on the rear side of a press plate. The string 12 is pulled out from above to below along a front wall 49 of a compression chamber 4, engaged with an engagement part 21f at the front end of an inclining bottom plate member 21 by the tip, led to a guide 21g on the top face of the inclining bottom plate member 21 and a guide groove 6g on the inner face of the rear wall 6, and then is led and set on the front side along a groove 15b on the bottom face of the press plate from the rear side of the press plate 11. Also, if a main door 9 is closed in advance of lowering the press plate 11 when a material to be treated is compressed, a block member is installed for locking in a way that holding of the packaging string 12 by the rear side guide means 53 is not dismounted.
