<p>PURPOSE:To provide a covering method in a polyethylene sleeve construction method, capable of easily construction in the case where a polyethylene sleeve construction method is carried out. CONSTITUTION:An engaged portion 3A to be engaged with an inner surface is provided at one end 1C of a cast iron pipe 1 having a socket 1B at the other end 1A. A jig 3 having a shaft 3B extending coaxially with the cast iron pipe 1 is fixed to the engaged portion 3A. The jig 3 is covered with a polyethylene sleeve for almost thoroughly covering the outer periphery of the cast iron pipe 1 in a state contracted in the axial direction. The other end of the jig 3 is lifted by a supporter so as to slantwise support the whole of the cast iron pipe 1. In this state, the polyethylene sleeve is stretched toward the other end 1A of the cast iron pipe 1, for covering.</p> |
