An instrument for testing a specimen whereby vital cells are collected from a specimen and ATP originating in the cells is measured at a high accuracy. This instrument is provided with a test tube-form measurement container, a tubular container for an ATP eliminator fixed at the upper part in the top opening of the measurement container, and a tubular container for an extraction agent fixed below the ATP-eliminator container in the opening of the measurement container. A phosphorescent reagent is put into the measurement container. The container for the ATP eliminator is provided with a sealing material adhered to both of the top and bottom openings and a free ATP eliminator is enclosed therein. The container for the extracting agent is provided with a sealing material adhered to both of the top and bottom openings and an extracting agent for extracting the above-described ATP is enclosed therein. |
