SUBSTANCE: APPARATUS may be used for performing processes of liquid media dispersion, homogenization, pasteurization and sterilization, as well as for conducting sonochemical reactions within range of ultraviolet frequencies. Liquid lubricant used in prototype is replaced by grease and heat-exchange jacket of volute chamber is divided by partitions into two lower and two upper cavities for cooling water supply and removal, respectively. Partitions serve as stiffening ribs simultaneously. Inlet branch pipe is made detachable, and its internal surface may be of different diameter. To reduce noise, apparatus is provided with sectional noise-reducing casing which envelops volute chamber from external side. Cavity accommodating front sealing collar is provided with washing agent inlet and outlet channels, as well as with coupling bushing which prevents solid particles included in treated medium from getting into it. Rotor shaft carries adapter which makes it possible to obtain laminar flow of fluid medium being treated at rotor disc entry. This minimizes occurrence of inlet branch pipe vibration. Apparatus prevents temperature rise of fluid medium being treated above permissible values. It makes it possible to reduce wear of seals caused by solid particles getting on their rubbing surfaces and wear of rotor disc teeth and stator. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 12 cl, 10 dwg
