Method and arrangement for managing talk groups of a telecommunication system at the dispatcher station of the telecommunications system which comprises one or more talk groups (20 to 26) which may consist of one or more users (10) and which are controlled by a dispatcher (30) at the dispatcher station, the arrangement comprising a two-channel or a multichannel sound reproducing system (14, 16, 17) which is arranged to create an artificial acoustic space at the dispatcher station, and reproduce the voices of each talk group (20 to 26) so that they are heard from a certain point of the acoustic space, which allows the dispatcher (30) to recognize the talk group (20 to 26) to which the voice belongs on the basis of the location of the voice.
