<p>A mattress cover (C) comprises mattress top (1) and bottom (2) cover layers, a cover side wall (3) in the form of a band extending around perimeters of the cover layers, the side wall incorporating releasable fastener means (5) extending for a substantial portion of its perimeter intermediate its edges for opening and closing the side wall over the substantial portion of its perimeter, the edges of the side wall being secured one (7) to the peripheral edge of the top cover layer (1) and the other to the peripheral edge of the bottom cover layer (2). Preferably anchoring means (10) for securing the cover to the mattress are provided hidden under the cover side wall. The invention also involves the manufacture of such a cover.</p> |
