摘要 The present invention relates to light polarisers and can be used in flat liquid-crystal displays, including those of the projection type, in lighting fixtures, in optical modulators, in light-modulation matrix systems as well as in the production of common consumer goods such as protection glasses and shields. The purpose of this invention is to create polymeric films of highly efficient polarisers from coloured dichroic dyes, wherein said polarisers have a high thermal stability as well as a good resistance to the action of humidity. During the production of the polariser, the method involves using at least one dichroic dye in the form of an organic and/or asymmetric mixed salt of a dichroic anionic dye, including a polymer structure and/or a dichroic dye associate with a surfactant ion and/or an amphoteric surfactant substance. The use of a dichroic dye in one at least of the above-mentioned formulations improves the polarisation characteristics and results in the production of defect-free highly efficient polarisers, including ones of the negative type, having a high thermal stability as well as a good resistance to the action of humidity.
