SAPONIFIED ETHYLENE-VINYL ACETATE COPOLYMER-BASED FILM AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a saponified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVOH)- based film comprising an unoriented film or an oriented film of the EVOH excellent in slipperiness, transparency and appearance characteristics and to provide a method by which the EVOH-based film can stably be produced. SOLUTION: This EVOH-based film is an unoriented or an oriented film of EVOH containing inorganic particles such as an inorganic oxide and the average particle diameter of the inorganic particles is >=1μm and <=0.5 times the film thickness. The content of the inorganic particles in the film is 30-5,000 ppm. The sum total of the metal contents of Na and K contained in the EVOH is preferably 0.01-50 ppm.
