PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for earthquake-resisting beam-column connection and a beam composed of an H-sectional member in which the strength of a connecting section can be increased and simplified and the weight of a steel frame reduced by adopting a beam with the beam end section thickened, in which welding works are omitted, when the improvement of earthquake- resistance performance of a building is attempted. SOLUTION: In the earthquake-resisting beam-column connecting structure, a plastic deformation point 6 is set in a beam base metal, and a flange at a beam end section is thickened at a value set by the proof stress of the base metal at the plastic deformation point and thickened length (Lj) in 1/2 length or more of beam height for equalizing the proof stress of a beam-end connection section and the proof stress of the base metal at the plastic deformation point. A strength gap is provided in a beam material so that a plasticized region is made wider than a conventional joining section, and stress can be transmitted to a column only by a beam flange section.
