PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling a device which reduces the useless operation of an exhaust blower and is capable of surely sucking and exhausting diffused gaseous ozone. SOLUTION: The operation continuation time T of the exhaust blower 14 is set at td1 (5 to 10 seconds), td2 (30 to 40 seconds) and td3 (60 to 180 seconds) in steps S45, 40 and 35 according to the operating time of an ozone generator 32. When the ozone generator 32 is reoperated during the operation continuation time of the exhaust blower 14 in a step S55, the operation returns to a step S15 and the counting up of the operating time of the ozone generator 32 is restarted. The operating time tc of the ozone generator 32 of the previous time and the operating time tc of this time are accumulated. The processing of the step S25 and subsequent steps is executed by setting the accumulated time as the operating time tc of the ozone generator 32. This accumulated time is subjected to the processing of the step S20 and subsequent steps, to set the operation continuation time T of the exhaust blower 14.
