PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flywheel of an internal combustion engine, furnished with superior durability making frictional contact of a spring member smooth, providing stable frictional damping effects and reducing local friction of a contact portion. SOLUTION: This flywheel is provided with a roughly disc type elastic plate 2, the inner peripheral side of which is fixed on a crankshaft 1 and having flexibility in the bending direction and a mass body 5 fixed on the outer peripheral side of this elastic plate 2. A clearance 7 in the axial direction is provided between the elastic plate 2 and the mass body 5 on the outside in the radial direction of a fixed position to the crankshaft 1, and a spring member 10, both the ends of which make respectively contact with the elastic plate 2 or the mass body 5 is arranged in this clearance 7. A contact surface 2a of the elastic plate 2 and a contact surface 10a of the spring member 10 are curved and formed on a portion, where the spring member 10 and the elastic plate 2 make contact with each other and a portion, where the spring member 10 and the mass body 5 make contact with each other.
