PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scanning device having a structure that is not voluminous and easily carried and can position a card in the case of reading it without the need for electric power. SOLUTION: A dropping groove acting like a card passage with a width of a card and a depth, by which a surface of the card is placed to a focus of a scanner, is provided to a hard case 2 between a scanner read port 7 of a scanner case 1 and the hard case 2. Furthermore, the groove is provided with a card feeder 5 having an insert port 3 and a discharge port 4 at both ends of the groove and whole length is designed in a way that the length of the card passage is sufficiently shorter than the length of the card.
