PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve work efficiency by reducing and shortening labor and time which are required for the laying operation of a plastic pipe. SOLUTION: A fusing truck 21 in which butt fusing devices 37, 38 are set puts plastic pipes 12b, 13b on an automated guided vehicle 19 and carries them to a waiting plastic pipe connecting place. After the automated guided vehicle 19 and the fusing truck 21 are connected to each other, the automated guided vehicle 19 is moved so that one end of the already connected plastic pipes 12a, 13a is matched with the setting position of the butt fusing devices 37, 38. The carried plastic pipes 12b, 13b are moved to the fusing truck 21, one end of the plastic pipes 12b, 13b approach one end of the already connected plastic pipes 12a, 13b, and the plastic pipes 12a, 12b, 13a, 13b are connected to each other by the butt fusing devices 37, 38. By repeating the same operation, the plastic pipes are sequentially connected to each other so as to form a pipe line.
