PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine which can detect precisely the flow rate of supplied water without installing a water-level sensor. SOLUTION: This washing machine has a pressure sensor 40 using an ultra- magnetic deformation element in a suspension-stick receiver metallic material 15 which fixes a suspension stick 3, and detects by the pressure sensor 40 the weight of the washing accepted in a washing and dewatering tank 4 and the weight of the supplied water. At the time when a bath-water pump 18 is actuated and a water-supply valve 16 is opened, an increase of the prescribed weight is detected according to the detection signals of the pressure sensor 40, and the flow rate of the supplied water is estimated by measuring the time required for the increase. Since such measurement is not affected by loads and cloth quality of the washing, the flow rate of the supplied water can be obtained precisely.
