PURPOSE: An engine oil filter is provided to avoid slippage, to reinforce combining force of a seaming plate and a reinforcing plate, to prevent a filter paper fixing member from oxidization and to integrate a bypass valve with a spring. CONSTITUTION: An engine oil filter for filtrating oil supplied from a surrounding comprises a housing(20), a filter paper(24), a filter paper fixing member and a bypass valve. Oil flows via an oil inlet hole(22) and flows out via an oil outlet hole(28). The filter paper is folded and installed in the housing. The filter paper is fixed by the fixing members installed in the upper and the lower portions of the filter paper. The bypass valve supported by a plate spring(32) in the center of the fixing member supply un-filtrated oil when the filter paper cannot perform filtration.
