PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide device for a slide type fallboard preventing a loud impulsive sound and a damage on the fallboard by closing the fallboard surely and slowly with a relatively simple constitution. SOLUTION: This guide device for a fallboard guides the fallboard 11 placed between the left and right arms 4 of a keyboard instrument 1, and sliding backward and forward to open/close an playing part 8. The guide device is provided with left and right guide projections 27 extended to the side direction on a front part of the fallboard 11, left and right guide grooves 20 individually formed on inner side surfaces of the left and right arms 4 in a forwardly declining direction, and slidably engaged with the left and right guide projections 27 to slidably guide the fallboard 11 backward and forward between a backward open position A exposing the playing part 8 and a forward closed position E closing the playing part 8, and a stopper 20d stopping or decreasing the speed of the fallboard 11 when the fallboard 11 slides close to the closed position E. |
