PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion device, effecting the operational processing of the combustion device upon stopping the burning operation of the combustion device through an overheat preventing means correctly and prominent in the handling convenience as well as the operability of the same. SOLUTION: The temperature of a ceiling plate for a main body case, heated during the burning operation of a range burner 1, is detected by a temperature sensor 10 and when the detected temperature has become higher than an overheat deciding temperature, a solenoid valve 6 is closed forcibly to prevent overheating and an alarm on the overheating is given through an alarm lamp 12 and an alarm buzzer 14. Thereafter, when the detecting temperature of the temperature sensor 10 has been lowered to a value lower than a temperature whereat the re-starting of operation of the range burner is allowable, an alarm on the lowering of the temperature is given through the alarm lamp 12 and the alarm buzzer 14.
