The crawler gear (2) has an anchor plate with a lateral guide and a bearing journal for rotary mounting of a flange holder for the crawler gear connecting flange (16) mounted on the machine frame and on the front axle of the harvester (1). A control and damping cylinder is attached to the anchor plate and flange holder and connected to the central hydraulics and parallel pressure reservoirs via controlled valves.
