PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow base stations adopting different communication systems in existence in horizontal and vertical directions to obtain a sufficient gain. SOLUTION: On this antenna system, a 1st antenna 12 consists of an axial mode helical antenna having directivity nearly above the antenna system and configured in spiral, a 2nd antenna 10 is placed nearly in the middle of the 1st antenna 12 and has its directivity in nearly a horizontal direction, the 1st antenna 12 is used for a 1st communication system and the 2nd antenna 10 is used for a 2nd communication system and the 2nd antenna 10 is a vertical mode helical antenna configured in spiral. Thus, the 2nd antenna 10 is used for the communication with a ground base station and the 1st antenna 12 is used for the communication with an artificial satellite.
