Electrophotographic photoconductor has a single light-sensitive layer laminated directly or by an intermediate layer to an electroconductive substrate. The light-sensitive layer comprises a resin binder, a charge generating substance, a hole transport substance and an electron substance, in which the hole transport substance consists of compound(s) (I) of the tetrahydronaphthylamino-stilbene type. Electrophotographic photoconductor has a single light-sensitive layer laminated directly or by an intermediate layer to an electroconductive substrate. The light-sensitive layer comprises a resin binder, a charge generating substance, a hole transport substance and an electron substance, in which the hole transport substance consists of compound(s) of the tetrahydronaphthylamino-stilbene type of formula (I). ArH1 = (substituted) aryl; ArH2 = (substituted) phenylene, naphthylene, biphenylene or anthrylene; X = H or a (substituted) alkyl or aryl group; Y = (substituted) aryl or a tetrahydronaphthyl group (IA) or stilbyl group (IB); RH1, RH2 = hydrogen (H) or lower alkyl or alkoxy; RH3 = H, halogen or lower alkoxy or alkyl; Z = H or (substituted) aryl; and m, n = 0-4.
