The rotating electric machine of the invention includes internal machine gas-cooling systems, so that a cooling air channel is formed in every system and is subdivided into at least two channel sections in which currents are produced in two opposite directions. Dividing zones are located on the radial exterior of the stator of the machine and are subdivided into at least two sections in an axial direction, while connection channels connect the sections in the cooling systems.
