PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring apparatus for the concentration of sulfur trioxide in an exhaust gas by which the concentration of the SO3 in the exhaust gas can be measured continuously and simply. SOLUTION: By a suction pump 15, an exhaust gas is introduced into a gas cell 21 via a collection pipe 11 which is inserted into an exhaust-gas flow passage 101. Both ends of the gas cell are formed as windows through which infrared rays are transmitted, The gas cell itself is arranged in the optical path of a Fourier-transform infrared spectroscope 20. Infrared rays which transmit the exhaust gas are converted into an electric signal by a detector 206 so as to be Fourier-transformed by an FFT 208, and the absorbance of SO3 is measured. Since the absorbance and the concentration of the SO3 are in a nearly proportional relationship, the concentration of the SO3 is decided on the basis of the absorbance of the SO3. In addition, when the optical path of the spectroscope is constituted inside a probe which is inserted into the exhaust- gas flow passage, the concentration of the SO3 can be measured without deriving the exhaust gas from the exhaust-gas flow passage.
|
