PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming device with a constitution capable of suppressing scumming of a latent image carrier and securing uniform solid developing characteristics. SOLUTION: As for the image forming device, an latent image carrier 1 is previously, uniformly and electrostatically charged, and an electrostatic latent image is formed on the electrostatic latent image carrier, 1 whose surface frictional coefficient (μ) is set so as to satisfy 0.1<=μ<=0.4 by optical writing, and a developer carrier 2B carrying developer is brought into contact with the electrostatic latent image so as to execute a visualizing processing for the electrostatic latent image, and the image is transferred to a transfer medium and the transferred image is fixed, then, the image is formed, the relation between the volume averaged grain size Rt (cm) of the developer, the sticking amount M (mg/cm2) of the developer on the developer carrier and apparent density ρ(mg/cm3) is set so as to satisfy 0.5ρRt<=M<=1.2ρRt, (provided that developer is pressurized under 100 (gf/cm2). |
