PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the correlation between pressure applied to an elastic body and the amount of strain by installing a suppressing means made of a rigid body for restricting the distance between base plates. SOLUTION: A suppressing means 3 made of a rigid body with a cavity lower part is installed in one of base plates 1 faced up and down, and pressure sensitive rubber 6 is inserted from the lower part so as to cover a lower cavity part 3a. A coil spring 2 is mounted on the outer circumference of the suppressing means 3. The distance between the base plates 1 for restricting with the suppressing means 3 is set to a smaller value of either one of the amount of compression reaching the elastic limit of the coil spring 2 and the amount of compression reaching the elastic limit of the pressure sensitive rubber 6. By receiving the pressure applied from the outside with the upper and lower base plates 1, the coil spring 2 and the pressure sensitive rubber 6 are deformed, variation of resistance values appear in a contact circuit 8 installed in a contact base plate 7, and the magnitude of pressure is measured. Before the coil spring 2 or the pressure sensitive rubber 6 reaches elastic limit, deformation is restricted with the suppressing means 3.
