PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a caller number information display system where it is not required to inquire about a caller number again that has been inquired about before and it is not required to prepare a caller number information database to each telephone set. SOLUTION: The system has a caller number information database placed on an exchange network and telephone sets each including a caller number information display device 2 connected to the caller number information database via the exchange network. The caller number information display device 2 is provided with a caller number reception section 3 that receives a caller number of an opposite party, a microcomputer 4 that processes a caller number, a number information transmission section 6 that transmits a caller number inquired of the caller number information database, a number information reception section 7 that receives caller information such as an address and a name of the inquiry caller number returned from the caller number information database, an information display section 8 that displays the caller information and a caller number information cache memory 5 that stores the caller information.
