Frame system for steelwork enabling replacement of any type of windows, preferably those made of aluminum, without having to perform any additional building work and preserving the existing frame. A preframe can also be mounted in new building works to which the invention can be fixed, characterized in that two basic profiles (1, 3) are embedded in the frame, said profiles being interconnected by a clamping piece (2) that is in turn anchored on the basic profile (1), the basic outer profile (3) being fastened to the clamping device (2) by its serration (4).
