The diagonal winding has specific number of turns wrapped alternatively in forward and backward directions, so that a displacement of individual turns groups results parallel to direction of winding axis (5), and a desired winding angle (W1) of the individual turns groups is produced with respect to the winding axis. The ratio between the number of forward and backward wrapped turns is varied in such a way that a desired steep start angle (A2) is set in the start region of the winding, with a desired winding angle set in the head section of the winding.
