<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve visibility in the case when distance visibility is lowered because of lowered visual response due to a bright road surface, by distributing light also to the upper side of the horizon to make illuminance distribution uniform in a light distributing characteristic, thereby improving the suitability of light distribution for running. SOLUTION: In this projector lighting fixture 1 for a vehicle, a light screening plate 4 is provided with a fixed light screening plate 41 for forming a cutoff in a light distributing characteristic and a movable light screening plate 42 for screening portions other than the cutoff portion. When passing light distribution is used, the movable light screening plate 42, integrally with the fixed light screening plate 41, screens substantially the lower half part of light flux incoming into a projection lens 5, and when driving light distribution is used, it withdraws from within the light flux incoming into the projection lens 5. By this arrangement, light is distributed also to the upper side of the horizon to make illuminance distribution uniform in the light distributing characteristic, thereby improving the suitability of driving light distribution and preventing visual response from being lowered, and thus visibility is improved.</p> |
