PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tubular heater which improves workability by removing a lead wire from a horizontal direction and is used as a defrosting heater for a refrigerator to perform waterproofing through constitution favorable in terms of a cost without using a waterproofing member formed of a different member. SOLUTION: This tubular heater comprises a pipe body 10 having two end openings, a heater 11 situated internally of the pipe body, a lead wire 12 through which a power source is connected to the heater 11, and a terminal cap part 14 mounted in a covering state on the two ends of the pipe body 10 and linearly leading out the lead wire 12 from a side to an external part. An air flow passage 16 having one communicated with the opening of the pipe body 10 approximately in parallel to a hole 17 for the lead wire 12 and the other bent downward and being opened is formed in the terminal cap part 14.
