PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of reducing the number of components by using a timing control part usable in common for one-channel or two-channel data bus formation. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal display device comprises a TFT liquid crystal display panel equipped with a liquid crystal display element and a TFT matrix driving part for executing scanning driving of the liquid crystal display element, a timing control part 5 for providing the TFT liquid crystal display panel with a driving signal, and a host control part for supplying the timing control part 5 through one or two data buses with a one-channel or two-channel display data signal. In this case, an S/P conversion part 10 and one or more signal selection parts 91, 92 are installed in the timing control part 5, and the host control part supplies the timing control part 5 with a switching signal corresponding to supply of the one-channel or two-channel display data signal, and the timing control part 5 switches the signal selection parts 91, 92 by the switching signal and outputs the one-channel or two-channel display data signal as a driving signal having the same form.
