PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lens cap which is no need of assembly, or can be easily assembled and manufactured at a low cost. SOLUTION: As for the lens cap 10, a slit 16 is arranged on the disk-like cap main body 12 for covering the lens surface 106 of a photographic lens 100 so that the root part 18 of the cap main body 12 remains as an elastic part and a split part can be enlarged/narrowed in the facial direction of the cap. Besides, an engagement piece 14 which is engaged with the annular screw 104 of the photographic lens 100 is formed integrally with the cap main body 12. Thus, by pushing near the engagement piece 14 of the cap main body 12 from the outside and executing an enlarging/narrowing operation, the engagement piece 14 is moved in the facial direction of the cap, then, the piece 14 is engaged with the annular screw 104 of the photographic lens 100 by the elastic force of the root part 18.
