PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary blade for a bush cutter capable of avoiding the risks of crushing a part of the blade, scattering around crushed pieces and snapping around foreign matters even in the case where the blade collides the hard foreign matters, while holding both the life and cutting efficiency at high levels. SOLUTION: This rotary blade for a bush cutter 10 comprises a holding member 11 to which rotary power is transmitted, one or more cutting members 12 whose basal ends are linked to the holding member 11, the first cover 13 placed along above a cutting member 12 and the second cover 14 placed along below the cutting member 12. The cutting member 12 has a deformable part 12a on the basal end side and a hard cutting action part 12b on the front end side, and a part of the front end side of each hard cutting action part 12b is protruded from the peripheries of the first cover 13 and the second cover 14 in the state where it extends in the radial direction of the rotary blade 10.
