PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internally threaded fishing rod capable of imparting stable abrasion resistance and water repellency to a fishing line guide by improving adhesivencess of a thin layered tape to a rod pipe itself and its production. SOLUTION: This method of producing an internally threaded fishing rod consists of processes to wind up a peeling tape 2 around a core metal 1 with spaces 3 in the shaft direction, wind up a thin layered tape 4 at least to cover the space 3, arrange a fishing line guide-forming material 6 in a portion corresponding to the space 3 of the upper surface, wind up a prepreg 9 for forming a rod pipe body, bake under pressure and remove the peeling tape 2. The thin layered tape 4 consists of a tape itself 5a and an abrasion resistant layer 5b disposed on at least one surface in the side of the core metal 1 out of both surfaces and comprising an abrasion resistant synthetic resin such as an alkyd resin and the like or a metal.
