PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of the quality of a passing light intensity image that may be caused by the fluctuation of an organism by measuring more than one time passing light intensity from measurements in a loaded condition when load is applied to an organism and a nonloaded condition and offsetting the passing light intensity that is superimposed on one passing light intensity and not attributed to the application of load by other passing light intensity. SOLUTION: When imaging the interior of the cerebrum for example of a subject 9, a mixture of two-wavelength light from a light source 1 is applied to the subject 9 from the tips of a plurality of optical fibers 8, and organism passing light is input to a lockin amplifier module 12 through detection optical fibers 10 and photodiodes 11. Here modulation signals corresponding to irradiation positions and wavelengths are detected selectively, and from obtained organism passing light intensity signals, measurements in which a load application period to an organism and a non-load application period are repeated alternately are carried out by a processing section 19, thereby offsetting passing light intensity superimposed on one passing light intensity and not attributed to the application of load by other passing light intensity and preventing deterioration of the quality of a passing light intensity image.
